My Story

My family attended church when I was young, but faith was not something that truly shaped who I was or how I lived. That began to change after a huge moment in my family’s life—one that could have brought devastation, but instead became the catalyst for my family’s true commitment to Christ.

Following that moment, I began allowing God to use me however He wanted. This journey was not always easy. God was changing me completely! As He changed my heart, I realized I needed to change the things I did, the places I went, and even the people I considered my closest friends. None of those changes are easy ones, especially for a teenager.

Looking back, I know that was God. He was teaching me that following Him meant responding differently—not because I was strong enough on my own, but because His strength was working through me.

As I continued to grow in my relationship with Christ, God began stirring gifts and talents within me that He had placed there and wanted to use.

Then, one Sunday at church, a guest speaker was praying over people. When he came to me, he began prophesying over my life. This is what God spoke through him:

“I see you climbing a mountain. At times it is an easy climb, and other times it is very difficult. Attached to you is a rope that has many different flags—flags of all colors. There are people, youth, walking behind you, grabbing onto the rope, and you are leading and helping them up the mountain.”

I have never forgotten those words.

From that moment, I knew that God was calling me to help people along their journey with Him. I didn't know exactly what that would look like, or where the journey would take me, but I knew I was called to lead, encourage, teach, and pour into the lives of others.

I attended Valley Forge Christian College, where I studied Youth Ministry. I went on to teach at a Christian school for 15 years, lead youth programs, and serve through Boys & Girls Clubs. Through each of these experiences, God continued to give me opportunities to do my part in fulfilling the calling He placed on my life when I was just 16 years old.

And now, Pouring Into Purpose is the next step in that calling.

I am humbled that God chose to use me. I am even more humbled that He continues to stretch me, challenge me, and invite me into new seasons of ministry and service.

I don't believe the mountain is finished.

There are still people who need encouragement.
There are still leaders who need someone to believe in them.
There are still young people who need someone to walk beside them.
There are still people who need to discover the purpose God has placed inside of them.

So, I invite you to join me on this next part of the mountain.

Grab hold of the rope.

Whether you are young or old, a student or a leader, just beginning your journey or well along the way, there is room for you.

As I continue to follow Christ up this mountain, my prayer is that others will grab hold of the rope, find their purpose, discover their gifts, and learn what it means to pour into the lives of others.

This is my calling.
This is my journey.
This is my next step.

This is Pouring Into Purpose.
